Jan Van den Bulcke

His research encompasses a range of topics including wood formation, tree ring analysis, dendroclimatology, sustainable wood use in construction, and micro-mechanical modeling of wood. For over 15 years, Dr. Van den Bulcke has specialized in non-destructive 2D optical and NIR imaging, with a particular focus on 3D-4D X-ray Computed Tomography. He is an active member of the UGent Center for X-ray Tomography (UGCT) Core Facility.
